How to create Time-lapse videos using Adobe Premiere

Please note that for the moment your time-lapse video must have audio (even if the audio is silent) in order to be processed and uploaded to bubl.io. Failure to add an audio file to your time-lapse video will result in a processing error. Please contact your Bublcam Assistant should you have any questions or concerns about this. Thank you.

Create a Time-lapse video using Adobe Premiere and multiplex files:

1. In Adobe Premiere, create a custom profile with resolution of 3840 x 3840, with the desired frame rate.
2. Click File > Import. Select the the first file of the image sequence.
3. Check the ‘Image Sequence’ box to import all the pictures in that folder as a single video.
   • Note: The image names has to be sequential and cannot have any breaks in between.
4. In the ‘Media Browser’ panel, Right click on the new video, select Modify > Interpret Footage.
5. Select the desired frame rate for the video.
   • This is independent of the frame rate of the project. Change value for desired effect.
6. Import the video in the timeline.
7. Export with desired settings. But the following must be set first:
• Format : H.264
• Profile : High
• Level : 5.1
• Resolution : Custom - 1920 x 1920 (has to be 1:1)
• As per level 5.1 specification, this is the highest setting allowed. Should there be more options available in later upgrades, use higher resolutions.

Copying Metadata:

Pictures and videos taken by the Bublcam contain proprietary calibration data that is used to stitch the bubl when uploaded to the Bubl Cloud (www.bubl.io). Using non-destructive editing tools (such as Photoshop, Aperture, etc) overwrites the metadata and deletes the calibration. To add the calibration data back from the original file to your edited file, follow these steps:

1. Take a sample video with your Bublcam.
2. In a single folder, copy your edited time-lapse video, and the sample video and the “exiftools” from the following link: for Windows: http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/exiftool-9.99.zip for Mac: http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ExifTool-9.99.dmg.
3. On Windows, on a blank part of the folder press and hold SHIFT and RIGHT-CLICK. Select ‘Open command window here’.
   On Mac, Open ‘/Applications/Utilities’ and double click on Terminal. Navigate to the folder containing the files.
4. Type in “exiftools -tagsFromFile source.mp4 destination.mp4” (change name to corresponding file name).
5. Now you can use the destination.mp4 file for upload in www.bubl.io. A new “destination.mp4_original” is created in case you need to go back a step.
